Flutes & Resources

The home of beautiful flute cases.

One of the largest Flute Resources for all Flute Players, Chief Editor: Mary O'Brien.

The Guo Musical Instruments Company had its humble beginnings in 1988. Although their initial handcrafted flutes offered only minor alterations to the original Boehm system, in 2003 the company introduced the Cermet Flute, thereby marking the beginning of what has become a devoted journey into the innovation of flute manufacture and design.

The Glasgow Amateur Flute Ensemble, an enthusiastic group of around 30 amateur flautists and percussionists, based in Lorne Street Primary school in Glasgow. We are a non discriminative all inclusive group and our constitution reflects this policy. We rehearse on a Friday evening with exception being Christmas and Summer school holidays.

We are the only adult flute choir in the West Midlands (apart from the Birmingham Conservatoire in-house flute choir) and we meet to rehearse a wide variety of music arranged for flutes (including piccolo, standard C flute, alto and bass). Each year we give 2 concerts , hold an open Chamber Day and play Christmas carols at the Children's Hospital.
