Created for Brent Flute Choir for their Wembley Arena performance in 2018, this piece uses the glorious Largo from Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 to bookend a flutey setting of Alan Menken's famous song "A Whole New World" from the Disney film Aladdin. The low flutes, including an optional Double Contrabass, add depth to the lush harmonies. This is a great concert piece for mixed abilities, and an ideal way to work on classical and popular genres simultaneously.
